Your pilot, John Stairs, has flown for 47 years.  He has held his commercial licence since 1983 and his multi-engine instrument (IFR) rating since 1992.  He also holds ratings for night and float flying and has piloted both single and twin-engine aircraft to such diverse destinations as Seattle, The Bahamas, Ottawa, Edmonton, Montreal, Halifax, and Baffin Island.  He also recently received New Zealand accreditation and has flown in Australia and Guatemala.

2 Queen bedrooms, two bathrooms (one two piece & one three piece), pull out couch, loft for kids (sleeps 4), bunkie with double bed and futon (can sleep 4).

Cottage has covered outside upper deck;  outside lower deck with dining table that seats 6 and large dock on water.  Kitchen is fully equipped with drinking water, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, fridge, oven etc.  Barbecue.   Bring your own sheets and towels.

Cottage comes with two kayaks, one canoe one stand up paddle board, two floating chairs and noodles.  Water is clean, deep and not weedy, great for swimming and good fishing.  Area is surrounded by hiking trails and canoe trails.

Parking is for three cars only.  It is on a private road in a very peaceful and quiet area.

Swanson also illustrated her husband's book, Moments Near Life’s End.

Although it has grown tremendously from its early days, it remains headquartered in Bobcaygeon, Ontario, where it was founded. In 1937 Jack and Ila Crowe took a leap of faith and bought a small dairy in Bobcaygeon. Jack had learned the trade while working for Oshawa Dairy but the newly renamed Kawartha Dairy didn’t bear much resemblance to that larger big city firm. At that time it consisted of a small, simple three room building, where the cold storage area was cooled with ice cut from the lake.
